SGA JUNIOR OPEN TOURNAMENTS 2006
                      competitive golf for kids of all skill levels

Summer Tournament - August 30th 2006
The third of the 2006 Sussex Golf Academy junior golf open tournaments was held on 30th August at The Manningsheath Hotel Golf Course. We were once again blessed with warm sunshine and great scores.

Ten year old Alex Young producing a best of the day gross 33 to win our first "Winners Group" (which was a high level group made up of all the winners from previous tournaments).

Other notable scores were Daniel Paige with a gross 39, Josh Chipper-Smith also with a gross 39 and Matthew Hyatt with a gross 37 and Jordan Cotterell with gross 45 over 7 holes.

Congratulations must also go to Marco Penge who has qualified to represent Great Britain against the USA in San Diego next year through the HSBC Wee Wonders Tournament.

Easter Tournament - 12th April 2006
The first of the 2006 Sussex Golf Academy junior golf open tournaments was held on 12th April at The Manningsheath Hotel Golf Course. All competitors as in previous SGA competitions gave 110% and the tournament was an even bigger success than last Septembers with more players and spectators than ever before.

All age groups, except the 7's and under, played a full 9 holes on the excellent Mannings Heath course. The under 7's played a shorted 7 hole game.

Congratulations to our five winners, Yasmin Wyld, Marco Penge, Sam Britten, Alex Young and Alexander Welton and all the other juniors who made the day an extremely enjoyable one.

The Sussex Golf Academy would like to thank all the juniors who took part in the 2006 tournaments and all the parents and spectators who showed their support and created a fantastic atmosphere to play in.
